Post 5 by PorkInCider (Wind assisted.) on Monday, 24-Dec-2007 7:12:28

I never make them, most people break them, so if I want to achieve something, I try without having made it a resolution.

Post 6 by laced-unlaced (Account disabled) on Monday, 24-Dec-2007 7:34:59

Post 9 by Reyami (I've broken five thousand! any more awards going?) on Monday, 24-Dec-2007 9:41:00

Don't fall behind in school, exercise more, eat less junk food, and meet new people.

My new year’s resolutions, to work out more, focus on becoming a better person all around.

Post 17 by Miss Gorgeous (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Friday, 28-Dec-2007 12:05:13

My New Year's resolutions would be to work harder in school and work, to be more optimistic about bad situations, to give people the benefit of the doubt, to be more patient, and to not take things too seriously and devote more time for relaxing. To be more balanced, and not overwork or over think too much. Last, to smile more.

Post 18 by The_Bloody_Vampire (Generic Zoner) on Friday, 28-Dec-2007 17:48:40

Post 19 by The_Bloody_Vampire (Generic Zoner) on Friday, 28-Dec-2007 17:52:35

Post 20 by DancingAfterDark (I just keep on posting!) on Friday, 28-Dec-2007 18:51:36

Jesse, Janelle's still a little young, is she not? :D

I make resolutions every year, although I agree with Kevin and Simon that it's not the best way to actually stick to them. I've never kept a single one. I haven't made any serious ones yet, but they're always along the lines of Lory's and maybe eventually I'll keep them.

Post 21 by HotPerro (I live and breathe the board) on Friday, 28-Dec-2007 22:08:22

Mine is to work my ass off and make a bunch of money so I can go beer tasting, now that I'll be able to.

Post 22 by Jesse (Hmm!) on Saturday, 29-Dec-2007 0:41:19

Yeah, she's young, but I'll just find somebody a bit older. Haha! Not on the Zone, mind you.

Post 23 by Nitara (Veteran Zoner) on Sunday, 30-Dec-2007 15:13:20

Seeing as how I've yet to stick to any resolution I make, I don't even bother with them anymore.

Post 24 by redgirl34 (Scottish) on Sunday, 30-Dec-2007 17:09:58

Mine is to walk my guide dog more

Post 25 by Godzilla-On-Toast (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Sunday, 30-Dec-2007 17:26:12

These resolutions were never a tradition with our family, so I guess I've never believed in them. Besides, as others have said, people make them and soon break them so they seem to be just a token gesture. I figure why change just because the year changes anyhow? That being said, though, I will have to go back on a low-carb diet because I do need to lose weight, but this is not just some empty promise, as my health may be in jeopardy if I gain anymore weight, so it's just something that'll have to be done.

Post 26 by Eleni21 (I have proven to myself and the world that I need mental help) on Monday, 31-Dec-2007 13:21:27

I actually have a few resolutions.
1. Get more involved with my religion.
Learn at least some of the festivals and include more deities in my life, whether or not I actually get involved in my religious community.
2. Start consistantly studying Modern Greek, at least one lesson per week.
3. Learn more about Hellenic culture, modern as well as ancient.
4. Start seriously learning how to play my instruments, whether or not I find a teacher. Study the dromoi!
5. Get a real job.
Hopefully, I'll keep them this time!

sounds good to me. mine are to find employment, try to be more positive, don't lose faith in getting a house and continue to work hard at my relationship.

Post 30 by Pure love (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Friday, 04-Jan-2008 17:49:48

Yeah, I have some resolutions. I want to lose at least 20 kilos (or more, and not gain it again) and find someone who does sports with me at least three times a week. And eat healthier. That's my resolutions.
